ACRELive! Energize Your Solar Leasing Capability

3/5/2025 - 3/5/2025
1:00 PM - 2:00 PM
Location:

A power hour for real estate lawyers to improve their capabilities to negotiate and draft solar project leases (and easements and similar site control agreements), whether working for project developers, or for host landowners. This session will cover leases of privately owned land used to host utility-scale greenfield ground-mount photovoltaic solar energy generation and storage projects.  Our advanced discussion will assume participants have leasing and easement experience. We welcome hearing from participants in advance with their questions, lessons-learned stories, or scenarios, that we might have time to weave into the discussion content (anonymously without attribution). Live Q&A only if time permits.

To submit a question in advance, please contact Trish at tvoth@foulston.com or 316-291-9767.

Trish presents nationally to ACP, ICSC, ACREL, as well as state and local groups. Her 27-year law practice at Foulston includes two dedicated areas: (1) she heads up Foulston’s solar, wind, BESS, and electric energy practice (after working with the renewable industry since 2001), and (2) is also a leader in the firm's real estate practice. Her unique tenure and experience negotiating, writing, and advising on wind, solar, BESS, and transmission site control agreements, on behalf of project developers, owners, and host landowners -- along with her dedication to following laws and trends in renewable energy and rural lands -- gives her clients the best opportunities to negotiate and write renewable energy leases and real estate agreements. Trish became an ACREL Fellow in 2013
